Oil pastels on rough cardboard. 22x28 cms. |
These white onions were just begging to be sketched since I bought them. They usually appear in the markets in India around February.
The green shoots are spliced together and the bunches are hung out to dry.
They taste delicious chopped rough, with a little salt and lemon juice.
Why di=o I see that as a design for an earring? :)
ReplyDeleteJinksy, you're spot on! I have pearl eardrops that I call 'my onions strings' :-)
ReplyDeleteThey look tiny? How big are they?
ReplyDeleteMAS, the actual painting is 22 x 28 cms. I have put a small photo size here.
ReplyDeleteThe average size of these onions is.. say size of a lemon?
