The Pebble

Lodged in the soft sand of a river bed.
Water flows around me.
Dried leaves and twigs stop at me for a while and then carry on.
Fish nibble at my edges.
I stay where I am- unmoved, unmoving.
And yet, I change
As every second
I join the flow, particle by pebbly particle.

This poem was created on an impulse, as a response to the worldwide poetry movement "100 Thousand Poets for Change".

And yet, I change...may we all be pebbles in the stream of positive change in the world. Wonderful piece!

it was simply awesome way of describing things.

Thereby i am a pebble unmoved, but i do get withered by the flow of water and time. It's the wear and tear which happens by the feelings of you which passes by.

    Thank You ,
    Shiv
