The Edge

Have you ever lived on the edge?
gulping down fear
trying hard to not look beyond
or smell the blood from your cracked feet
to keep your footing on the slippery rim
Scanning the horizon
for a careless jostle, the shove
that could send you tumbling?

One day I jumped off the edge
and discovered
there was no below.

  3. hey I like this a lot...the sense of freedom from the bondages, when there is no above or below, when there are no boundaries.

  4. Intense experience. When life forces or corners someone, they are on the edge, with only a hollow surface to dive down in search of freedom.

  5. I loved this journey of words. I loved even more that when we arrived at the end...there was no end. Well done!
