What matters

Don’t ask me to notice
if you lost or gained a few pounds.
I do carefully weigh
every ounce of what you say.

Your clothes are blue or brown?
what matters are the varied shades
of emotion
that cross your heart.
Whether you smile or frown.

Or even the new watch
on your hand.
Time doesn’t count
when we are together.

  2. Really nice. It seems you have tried a new style this time. I don't know why, but it's a pleasant diversion from your usual style. Impact of "food-notes" shows well.....

  3. Nice! It seems you have tried a different style this time. It is indeed a pleasant diversion. Is this an impact of "food-notes"?

  10. Like the metaphor ‘’I do carefully weigh // every ounce of what you say.’‘
the color of clothes & the shades of emotion.
Time doesn’t count // when we are together.

short and meaningful 3 stanzas. very well done.
